Why do GOPers want to elect average joes to president instead of overachievers?

The GOP doesn't have an average American candidate. I don't see How Huntsman, Romney, Gingrich, Cain, Palin, or any Republican can relate to any everyday American. For God's sake, Romney only puts $100 bills in his wallet. What everyday American does that?
