Would puting my Xbox360 controler in water and leaving it 24 hours to dry damage it? its got sticky ons.?

personally i would take the controller apart and clean it with an anti static cleaning solution which is designed for cleaning electrical components or carefully use a damp cloth on the ons.if you submerge it in water you run the risk of shorting the controller or worse electrocuting yourself
