What do people think about this? Are you surprised to know this STILL happens to us?

If it was my child?Well,I'd go to the school looking for the perp.....but then I'm white,and would therefore get a slap on the wrist.As a native person,I would advise you to get a lawyer who is in your group of people,and do it legit.At the end of the day,although it requires a lot of patience and perseverance dealing with legal systems,at least you get some sort of result.Also,local media (papers,TV stations)love racial stuff-get the school some bad PR in the press/TV and you may get a settlement or even an apology!
