My friend needs bone marrow, its a 1 in 10000 chance to find a match, are there any organizations to help?

one would think everybody should be encouraged to donate bone marrow, since it can save lives. i never heard of it. anyhow, are there any orgs i can phone, who can cross reference her bone marrow, with a database, to look for a match?
