Do you think its overdone to...?

no its not overdone. Singing the anthem is like an opening ceremony to the match, uniting the 2 teams and paying tribute to the country you are playing for and it gets the players and the fans excited and pumped for the game. I would feel alittle empty if they didnt sing the anthems before a match, thats just me though. But I'm sure any fan that feels pionate about the team they support will enjoy hearing their anthem..with the exception of Cuore azzurro lol
